Individual Sessions
One-to-one sessions assist in revealing the underlying behavioural issues leading to conflict at home or school. Clare helps individuals to work through practical and emotional issues to build confidence and self-esteem.
Often parents express difficulty in juggling the responsibilities of children, spouses and work. At different stages of parenting we are faced with new challenges.
Parents often disagree on how to discipline children and this can cause
conflict for all involved. Clare’s compassionate and direct approach helps
facilitate change. These sessions are available by appointment.
Workshops
One-day workshops provide parents with skills to make simple changes within the family to reduce stress and conflict. They also help parents to understand the need for more effective communication and self care.
Group Talks
Sessions can be structured for parents, mothers groups and school P&C by arrangement. These talks inspire parents to make positive changes
without feeling overwhelmed.
Bullying Workshops
In class bullying workshops utilising the ABC Paradigm, (Activating event, Belief and Consequences), a cognitive behavioural therapy model.
These workshops will help students recognise the concept of rational thinking when faced with bullying and social cruelty. It is preferable to run separate groups for girls and boys.
Collaborative and enlightening, students will come to their own understanding of what it might feel like to be a bully, why people bully, the relationship between victims, bullies and bystanders and effective strategies for change.
These classes are ideal to run in conjunction with school syllabus on values and bullying.
STAFF PD – Bullying Prevention
These interactive workshops clearly illustrate how to employ the ABC Paradigm to manage behavioural issues, such as bullying, self-esteem, fairness and anger.
We will demonstrate how to utilise this format for many open and honest group discussions and conflict resolution. Staff will be provided with simple examples they can use as ‘door openers’.
STAFF PD – Effective Communication and Conflict Resolution
These interactive workshops demonstrate how to communicate more effectively between staff and students.
Included is a clear and simple 6 step process of conflict resolution showing how to solve disagreements and clashes to eliminate power struggles in the classroom and have students working more effectively and willingly.
These skills are also key to effective inter-staff communications.
